Description

This album features Red 7, a rock group formed in 1984 in San Francisco, California. Produced by British musician Mike Rutherford, their self-titled debut album was released in 1985. Rutherford also contributed bass on several tracks and possibly sang in the choir on one song, "The Way". The core members were Michael Becker, Gene Stashuk, and Paul Revelli. Don Gehmann mixed the single "Relentless", while David Tickle served as the engineer. The album gained recognition with two tracks used in popular movies: "Less Than Perfect" appeared in Joe Dante's 1985 film, Explorers, and "Heartbeat" was featured in Michael Mann's 1986 thriller Manhunter and an episode of Miami Vice.
